I am an ecologist and postdoc at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am interested in understanding patterns and drivers of parasite diversity and abundance across space and time. Specifically, my research investigates how environmental change, species invasions, and ecological diversity influence the diversity and spread of infectious diseases.
I study these dynamics by conducting observational studies in California grasslands as well as experimental studies in North Carolina herbaceous plant communities. I am also a dedicated teacher and mentor. I am committed to communicating my research to practitioners and the public via workshops, presentations, and social media.
